Yesterday the children and practitioner’s decided to make some ice for the children’s play the following day. The same children who made the ice remembered what they had done the previous day and told the girls where they needed to go to get it from the freezer. The boys were full of enthusiasm and used lots of descriptive language to describe what had happened
The pre-school children have been hard at work over the past two days putting the finishing touches to the structure of their den. The den now has a roof and has been given a lick of paint. We are looking forward to seeing how the interior develops next.

Today our babies wrapped up warm and went for a lovely walk to Pudsey park to visit the animals. They had a great time looking at all the fish and different animals whilst snuggled up all cosy and warm in their prams. Christine and Penny talked to the children about the different animals they could see. Al the babes liked the bunnies running round
Spring finally feels like it has arrived today at nursery. To celebrate this children and staff have set up a water area in the top play area using a variety of materials they have found from around the garden. The children helped collect an assortment of resources and with the staff created structures that would allow them to pour water through, water from above
The big build is under way…. the pre-school children have had a busy morning outside with Helen pondering on how they can start their construction project with the materials we had so far. We have been exploring textures this week in our toddler unit so we have decided to enhance our book area with this lovely interactive Gruffalo story corner. We have introduced a variety of natural resources that are found in the story along with puppets, prompt words and instruments so the children can create the sounds made in the woodland.
